VBS in Oroche, Kenya: 83 Children Gather to Hear the Gospel

Under the shade of a vibrant tent canopy in Oroche, Kenya, something beautiful happened this week. Eighty-three children gathered for two days of Vacation Bible School, their faces eager and their hearts open to hear about Jesus.

Mrs. Cynthia Scherer and Ms. Emma Scherer led the children through Bible stories, songs, and teachings, sharing the love of Christ with the next generation. The laughter of children filled the air as they learned about God's Word in ways that spoke directly to their young hearts. What started out as 32 children at the beginning of the day eventually turned to 115 by the end.

Hearts Turned Toward Jesus

But the most powerful moment came when Pastor Mose stood before these precious children and extended an invitation. As he shared the gospel message, hands began to rise throughout the tent. Children who had never heard about Jesus before responded to His call, and Pastor Mose led them in the sinner's prayer.

In that moment, under that colorful tent, heaven rejoiced as young hearts were forever changed.

The Power of Reaching Children

This is why WEO Ministries believes so deeply in children's ministry. These 115 children represent 115 eternal souls, 115 futures transformed by the gospel, and 115 potential witnesses who will carry the light of Christ into their families and communities.

"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." - Proverbs 22:6

The children sat attentively in their colorful plastic chairs, some leaning forward to catch every word, others raising their hands to participate. You could see the work of the Holy Spirit moving through that gathering.

Praise God for His Faithfulness

We praise God for:

• The 115 children who attended VBS over these two days

• The souls who responded to the gospel invitation

• The faithfulness of Pastor Mose and the local church in Oroche

• The dedication of Mrs. Cynthia Scherer and Ms. Emma Scherer in bringing God's Word to these children

• The community leaders who welcomed this outreach
