A big thank-you to all who prayed for and financially supported the Good News Club (GNC) introductory course that took place in January, in Liberia.
At least one person from each church and school in Liberia were in attendance. The bonus was that since it was held on the orphanage compound, many of the orphans and high school students were able to attend. I received many thanks and reviews that stated “This type of child evangelism teaching is the first for Nimba County!” and “Thank-you so much for giving us the tools to spread the gospel. I am learning so much!” My heart was touched by their gratitude.

Here is a crippled widow lady that often comes to the orphanage to help with the children in exchange for food. A couple of years ago, she accepted Christ and I had the privilege to witness her baptism. What a blessing to see her included in the introductory training and being handed teaching material. How blessed that even in her crippled state, she desires to spread the gospel. I plan to get more stories for her to use wherever she is, teaching the children who are often gathered around her.

So what is next? Well, I am glad you asked! Next, is the TCE-1 training class. TCE-1 stands for Teaching Children Effectively - 1. It is a 5 day class that teaches how to organize a Good News Club, and/or a 5 day summer camp. Students will learn to effectively apply the gospel message for those new to the gospel and encouragement for growing Christians in any Bible story, memory verse and song. Review games are also an important part of Good News Clubs and training to help with gaming ideas and prizes is included. In addition, the students are taught how to make their own visual aids. This training is scheduled to take place in March. Since we have 7 churches and 2 schools, my goal is to fund 10 people to take the TCE-1 class so we can have a GNC in each church and each school in Liberia. We have already raised $360. This is enough for 3 people at $120 each. This provides the TCE-1, food for 5 days and travel. Will you please consider helping us? A gift of any amount will be greatly appreciated. There is a donate tab under “Support WEO” at the top of the main website page or you can send a check made out to WEO Ministries at the following address. Please include the phrase "TCE-1 Training" in the check memo:
